The bubbles floating out of the map of Brunei Darussalam and revolving around the globe represent excellence, quality, imaginative, creativity and innovativeness which reflect the dawn of a new era of local inventors. It also signifies teamwork as one of the objectives of the CIPTA award.

The logo “THE CROWN PRINCE CIPTA AWARD” reflects creative and innovative product and technological advancement from potential local inventors to be awarded nationally as well as to be recognised internationally.
The Map of Brunei Darussalam with its national colours reflects the extent of the competition which represents the Bruneians with their creativity, innovative and competitiveness while maintaining their traditional values.
represents the letter A for Award Globe and Abstract Motifs
The abstract motifs which surround the globe indicate that this award is a stepping stone for Bruneians to be at par with other international counterparts.
The use of colours in the logo represents the hard work that potential local inventors experience in creating fresh ideas with knowledge and available resources. These basic colours also represent the colours of Universiti Teknologi Brunei as the pioneer and organising body of the prestigious award.
The trophy has been designed and produced in
UTB. The shape of the trophy represents a modest yet strong foundation of
Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) that forms an essential
element of the nation’s vision towards a sustainable economy. The shape also represents a
generation with a competitive mindset with a resilient awareness of the
economic challenges. Taking recourse into the creativity and innovative nature
of this talent pool will enable us to fulfill the national aspirations towards
economic diversification.
The robust and minimalist design of the trophy -
achieved using locally found materials, signifies the nation’s emphasis on a
creative approach that leads the nation to be regionally and globally
competitive utilising its limited resources. The logo at the top of the trophy
symbolises the commitment of the CIPTA Award towards creating multiple avenues
for innovation and invention.
The austere form of the trophy provides an
inspiration towards achieving the national ‘Vision 2035’ and thus elevate us in
the global setting.
